Courtney Cartoon

"The Dark Night of the Soul" is a 6 minute animated short created by Michael Mouris. It traces Courtney Love's transition from riot grrrl poster chick to fashionista. My favourite part is Karl Lagerfeld making heart shapes with his hands - genius!

Mother Russia

'Mother Russia' by Ziad Ghanem from Ziad Ghanem on Vimeo.

Ziad Ghanem's Spring/Summer 2011 collection film.

Voted "Best Show" at London Fashion Week.

This confirms why Mr Ghanem is my favourite designer.

Put Your High Heels On And Walk For Me

Last night Club Frock and Cock delivered on all counts. Sleazy choons, pretty ladies, dashing gents, bouncing boobies, glow in the dark balloons, feather boas, buckets of eyeliner, spandex trousers, spangly guitars and a bed. A fucking bed - with silk sheets - on the stage. Ya dancer!

No respectable groupie would return home without one of these in her grubby little mits. I caught the rose with one hand as it was tossed into the crowd - straight to me, of course ;)

Mummy's baby wasn't too pleased with being woken up with a rather worse for wear, babbling mess at 3.30 this morning.

And I think she was rather jealous - she HATES the rose.

I'll leave you with not just one, but TWO super fantastic videos shot by Mr G on his swanky new phone. "Bump it up to 720p and view full screen for maximum goodness :-)"

Club Frock And Cock

I'll be donning my gladrags for a huge injection of sleazy cock, frock, rock n roll tomorrow night. There had better be plenty of boys in eyeliner for me to drool over and maybe even a wee peachy bum in tight white jeans for me to pinch. Be there or be square.

Club Frock and Cock

"Live sleaze Burlesque from the killer femme bomb that is DAIQUIRI DUSK and the fabuloso delicious vixen MISS HELLES BELLE. All topped of by the New Glam riot that is TRAGIC CITY THIEVES.

This new baddass night promises to tear the fabric of the universe and create a black hole of destruction and glitter. Get your rocking feet round that dark trash beat as we have dj'ing from JAMBUG and ROUGH MONK playing the best ROCK/ALT/PUNK/GARAGE/BOOGIE for your ears to suck on!

All this shambolic hot action takes place on THURSDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER at STEREO. Get your best rags on, come along and bring all your freak and geek buddies. 4 measly squid on the door."

Forbidden Art

A documentary looking at the life and work of legendary tattoo artist, Ed Hardy, is released in the States tomorrow.
Emiko Omori's film “Ed Hardy: Tattoo the World” documents the California artist’s rise from his first tattoo shop at age 10, giving the neighborhood kids tats using eyeliner, to his (naff?) partnership with French fashion designer Christian Audigier.
I'd love to see the whole thing. The history of tattoos and tattooing really interests me.

I've Been Tango'd

Having a serious crush on orange at the moment. Must be the autumnal weather. Orange hair is actually an option for me cos if I try to strip the 10 years of black out of it it goes a good shade of rust. Pity it'll be as brittle as a rusty sheet of metal too :(

All pictures nicked from We Heart It and Tumblr.

Belle Sauvage SS2011

Love this - the collection, styling, make-up, hair - the whole lot. It's like Futurism from the past. I can see elements of all my favourite movies from the 80s in here:

My New Obsession

This is Lucy Bridge, a make-up artist and model from London. She featured in my post about the designer Ziad Ghanem and fellow blogger Little Razzi kindly pointed out who she was and suggested I check her out. Thanks Paddy! She's amazing! Check those eyebrows and all the sparkly eyeshadow.

Here she is shot by Tim Walker for I-D Magazine.

Refuse To Be Usual

Whilst doing my weekly Ebay scour for a pair of Vivienne Westwood rocking horse ballet shoes in white, I stumbled across Refuse To Be Usual. It's a fantastic source of all kinds of knock-off Gothic Lolita/Visual Kei/J-Pop 'costumes'. Heaven!! I'll be snapping up a pair of pleather 'Westwoods' this next payday and that tutu which gives instructions on how to add all sorts of toys to the layers will also be MINE!

Night Terrors Act 01

Amelia Arsenic has just launched her first ever multidisciplinary art and fashion label, A is For Arsenic. Night Terrors Act 01 is the first of many capsule collections that will be launched each month. This time it's a tshirt collection, but it could be anything from a range of art prints to zines or even a jewellery line. I have my eye on the white vest top with skull motif. But mostly I'm after the wonderful brown box packaging! The lovely model is Nina Kate of Jane Doe Latex.

Metal Mickey

I spotted this amazing image on Tumblr a few days ago and then this afternoon I realised I've been following this lovely lady for a while on Blogger. It's Sohui from Filth In The Beauty and I want that hat! It's custom made from The Velvet Village, but I can't get any of the links to work. Perhaps it's time to ask Urska from Miss Hats to make one for me? Urska has kindly donated a delightful wee fascinator to my 100 followers giveaway. Add yourself to Google Friend Connect on the right and when we reach 100 I'll have a whole heap of goodies to giveaway! Spread the word xx

Bigger Bolder Boudoir

Last night Mr G kindly offered to re-jig the Baroque Boudoir design - yay! I can now post lots of nice BIG images. I'll start today with some shots from my favourite designer, Ziad Ghanem.
